By Foot… We are located right in the middle of the vibrant heart of Old Antibes.  You can access Rue du bas Castelet from either end –  ( off place Massena  – the covered markets ) or Rue Haut Castelet (off place du Safranier).   We are 2 minutes from the Port Vauban, (home to nearly 10,000 yachts) 2 minutes from Plage des Salis (the closest beach) and 10 minutes (stroll the Old Town) from the SNCF train station. We are surrounded by bars, restaurants, boutiques, cafes and Antibes’ unique medieval charm.

By Yacht…Navigate to Port Vauban, Antibes, France.  Once berthed locate the Fishermans Quay, Quai des Pecheurs  (in the corner of the old port).  Walk through Porte de la Port arch in the fortified Ramparts (Remparts)  and continue up Place Massena toward the Covered Markets (Marche Provençal). Pass throught he covered markets and onwards another 60 ,metres, where the road will crest slightly. Continue downhill another 60 metres until you see YANN Marine upholstery store on the corner. Behind YANN is the start of Rue du bas Castelet, paved in red brick, We are number 25.

By Car… Drive to Antibes, France and locate the Pres Des Pecheurs car park, (between Port Vauban and fortified Ramparts wall.  Park and proceed through Archway between the two sections of the Pecheurs carpark. On your left you will find the famous HOP STORE walk past the HOPSTORE and turn right at CAFE FELIX and continue up Place Massena toward the Covered Markets (Marche Provençal). Pass through the covered markets and onwards another 60 metres, where the road will crest slightly. Continue downhill another 60 metres until you see YANN Marine upholstery store on the corner. Behind YANN is the start of Rue du bas Castelet, paved in red brick, We are number 25.

By Aeroplane….. Fly to Cote D’Azur International Airport, Nice, France (NCE) and opt for taxi, transfer or bus to travel to the house from there.    Taxis are located on the driveway at the Airport (both Terminals).   Take the inter-terminal shuttle bus to connect to Terminal 1 (Aerogare 1) where you will find the bus station.  Grapevine also offers an airport transfer service for €35 each way, about half the price of a taxi.

Bus 250 connects the Airport to Antibes (see timetable http://www.cg06.fr/cms/cg06/upload/servir-les-habitants/fr/files/250.pdf ) until 8.20 pm for 8 euros. Ask for Gare D’Antibes and follow below (train)  directions from there.

By Taxi… Ask to be dropped at the Ramparts wall, or Boulevard D’Aguillon (behind Ramparts).    Locate the Archway in the middle of the Remparts.  Ahead you will find the famous HOP STORE, before you get to the Hop Store you will find Rue Casemates (20m on your right), walk 60m down Rue Casemates until you see on your left a tiny Archway-Rue de La Baume, we are number 16.  Taxis in the Cote D’Azur area are not cheap, their time is generally based upon €100/hour.  I can personally recommend Claude (English and French spoken) +33 6 17 56 00 86 who has a nice car and is honest, he will gladly do airport pick ups if pre-arranged, be sure to mention the Grapevine when booking for better service.  Expect to pay around €60-80 from the Airport.  If using Claude ask for the Grapevine.  Grapevine also offers an airport transfer service for €35 each way, about half the price of a taxi.

By Bus… Bus 200 (see timetable http://www.lignedazur.com/ftp/lignes_FR/200.pdf) runs the coast from Nice bus station (gare routiere) to Cannes bus station and stops everywhere along the way (including Antibes) for 1 euro you get access to the bus system for a 3 hour period. Ask for Gare D’Antibes stop.  On the Seaward side of the road  (Depending on which direction you came from you may have to cross the road) you will find the Passarelle SNCF – or -  the walkway over the train station) cross this and  head downhill towards the port on Avenue de La Liberation for 100 metres until you reach the fountain/roundabout at the bottom. Leave the roundabout 1 o’clock (2nd exit) and follow Avenue de Verdun for another 150-200 metres until you see the Archway in the fortified Ramparts wall on you right (between the two sections of Pres Des Pecheurs carpark).  Walk through the Archway. On your left you will find the famous HOP STORE, walk past the HOPSTORE and turn right at CAFE FELIX and continue up Place Massena toward the Covered Markets (Marche Provençal). Pass through the covered markets and onwards another 60 metres, where the road will crest slightly. Continue downhill another 60 metres until you see YANN Marine upholstery store on the corner. By Train….Both TER (slow train – regional) and TGV (fast train – national) services stop at the Antibes SNCF Train Station (Gare D’Antibes) , although their respective websites are difficult to navigate. We recommend Rail Europe http://www.raileurope.co.uk/ as an easier alternative.
